GASIFICATION OPEN-DAY 2015
The free seminar is organized by the Foundation Democenter-Sipe in collaboration with the Department of Engineering "Enzo Ferrari" of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, and aims to illustrate the technology of gasification of wood biomass for the production of electrical and thermal energy. The seminar is aimed at a wide audience and wants to frame the state of the art technology in the territory.
The event will take place on Thursday, September 10, 2015, in the auditorium of the Technopole of Modena, Via Pietro Vivarelli No. 2, starting at 14. The experimental part of the seminar will take place in the square of the Department

PROGRAM
The engineer Simone Pedrazzi of BEELab (Bio-Energy-Efficiency Laboratory) of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia will explain the technologies of micro-fixed bed gasification to generate electricity and heat. The engineer Giulio Allesina of BEELab talking about the importance of promoting the spread of small plants and low cost per kilowatt for the production of energy from renewable sources. The engineer Carlo Alberto Rinaldini Engineering Department Enzo Ferrari (DEHP), University of Modena and Reggio Emilia will illustrate the optimization and monitoring of internal combustion engines running on syngas and syngas-diesel. Dr. Enrico Ceotto of the Council for Agricultural Research and analysis of the agrarian economy will exhibit its expertise on the cultures SRF for the production of lignocellulosic biomass. Professor Matteo Prussi of the consortium RE-CORD of the University of Florence will discuss the test and contractual aspects of small gasification plants. Engineers Francesco Patuzzi and Dario Prando of the Free University of Bolzano will illustrate an experimental campaign monitoring of gasification systems in the region Trentino and South Tyrol. Professor Pierluigi Leone ot the Polytechnic of Turin (POLITO) will talk about his experiences in the pyrogasification of marginal biomass marginal and polygeneration.
